Financial services

Ulton is a financial services firm founded over 100 years ago. They operate from four locations across Queensland and consistently rank in the AFR’s annual list of top accounting firms. Moving into the ‘25–’26 financial year, their leadership team had flagged People and Culture as a key focus of their growth strategy for the year ahead.
To serve their goal of further attracting, developing, and retaining high calibre staff, the firm had undertaken significant work to define their employee value proposition, its pillars, and an aligned staff benefits program.
Our work focused on bolstering their employer brand presence by bringing their ‘More than just a number’ proposition to life, visually.
The accounting job market is running hot. With no signs of slowing its roll any time soon, there’s never been a more opportune moment for Ulton to strengthen its position as market-leading employer. With their EVP framework recently developed under the banner platform ‘More than just a number’, our mission was to craft an identity system imbued with the people-first sensibilities that set Ulton’s employee experience apart.
Our goal was to develop an identity that would facilitate a clean distinction between employer brand and corporate brand messages, yet maintained a consistent throughline of ‘Ulton-ness’. This intention shines especially bright in the palette, which marries the dark green from the corporate brand with supporting neutrals and bright accents; and in the hero pillar graphics, each of which integrates the circle from the corporate brand’s ‘Ulton dollar’ mark.
The identity is designed to reflect the warmth and empowerment at the heart of Ulton’s employee experience. Rather than relying on a single hero expression, it operates as a flexible system: warm and upbeat colour combinations; modular graphic elements that can be assembled and reassembled around different ideas; and bespoke character illustrations that introduce personality.
Together, these elements allow Ulton to shift tone without losing coherence. From confident and professional to welcoming and expressive and back again, the system reflects the reality of a workplace that recognises individuals over headcount.
To support Ulton across the full recruitment and employee lifecycle, we delivered a suite of ready-to-use assets alongside a flexible toolkit for future communications. This included animated content for in-office digital displays and internal channels, as well as adaptable assets designed for recruitment touchpoints.

Driven partnered with us to shape the marketing of our employee benefits, and the experience was outstanding. They took the time to truly listen, brought us along the journey, and delivered something we are incredibly proud of. The final result was thoughtful, clever, engaging, and highly professional.
